Ajo Clua

Service Designer
Ajo is an experienced service designer working across a range of sectors, including healthcare, youth unemployment and cultural education.

Educated as a product designer, she has international experience in various sectors, including health and social care, entertainment and retail. She has a strong background in communication design and service design.

Ajo has played a key role in our work supporting innovation capabilities with A New Direction, an organisation connecting young people and education with arts and culture. She also participated in our research project for Southwark Council running a series of co-design workshops with long-term unemployed youth. She has also supported a range of our health projects, including supporting NHSIQ to design a learning community of integrated care pioneers participating in their Integrated Care Pioneer programme, both to support them to deliver on their ambitions but also to encourage scale.

Ajo previously worked for an innovation design consultancy specialising in healthcare. Her role as a designer included planning and developing design research, producing innovation toolkits, setting up and participating in ideation workshops, communicating and developing products and services. She gained experience in product and service innovation whilst working in the advanced design team in Decathlon, France. Before this she worked for a design studio specialising in branding in London.

Ajo is interested in the potential of design thinking to be used for solving social problems.
