Louise leads the Innovation Unit’s education portfolio in the UK. Louise is an experienced leader, researcher and educationalist.
Louise leads our education portfolio, including programmes radically redesigning secondary schools, developing partnerships with the most innovative school providers from all over the world to bring their models to the UK. Louise leads our Education Endowment Foundation funded randomised control trial to assess the effectiveness of project based learning on the achievement of disadvantaged students. Louise also supports our work internationally, delivering training and facilitating education system leaders from Kigali to New York.
Before joining the Innovation Unit, Louise worked as a Senior Researcher at the RSA (Royal Society for the Encouragement of of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) on a range of innovative programmes with schools including Opening Minds, Whole Education and the RSA’s Area Based Curriculum. Louise has strong interests in inclusion, diversity and social justice, and the impact of education reforms on the most vulnerable communities.
