Leaders of public services are faced with increasingly complex and intractable social problems that are placing incredible demands on their organisation at a time when they are expected to meet cost savings of between 20-30%. Offering less for less will not enable leaders to meet aspirations to best serve their communities. The scale of cuts imposed mean that tweaking or ‘salami slicing’ services is not the best option. The best way forward is solutions that come through radical innovation. We provide leaders with the bespoke support they often need that helps them to find these solutions and meet the challenges they face.

We see our role as enabling leaders to develop solutions that work for their organisations. We don’t impose solutions on them, although we will help them learn from innovative practice elsewhere. What we bring to the equation is  expertise in delivering innovation coupled with a deep understanding of the environment in which public services are operating. We provide challenging, supportive coaching to leaders of complex innovations from the problem/idea phase to implementation. 

Connecting leaders trying to tackle similar challenges brings many benefits. In our experience, when we enable and facilitate these connections there are really powerful outcomes. It increases learning and helps to reduce risk.

We believe in building innovative capability within organisations. A key element in this is supporting leaders to develop the right skills so that they are better equipped to lead innovation.
