Fran is deeply committed to supporting programmes of work that empower and centre lived experience. Fran is interested in human-centred systems change and focusing on the complexity and totality of human experiences and connections to tackle large social issues.
Fran has a broad range of experience within the charity sector where she has worked at the intersection of local authorities, the NHS, and disadvantaged communities. In various roles she has facilitated communication and collaboration across services, centering the voices of vulnerable adults and young people to improve care and support pathways. Her previous work includes delivering a project exploring the relationship between homelessness and healthcare, with a particular focus on coproducing and redesigning health services explicitly tailored to the population’s needs. Most recently, Fran has worked within the criminal justice system mobilising an education programme focusing on lived experience peer mentoring. Fran is skilled at capturing and sharing learning and has experience making a variety of outputs for engagement and education purposes. She has a background in Geography, where she explored health inequalities and socio-economic determinants of health in depth.
